A Bit About Me for Those New to the Blog
I enlisted in the Navy at 17. While serving I travelled the world crossing the International Date Line and equator multiple times. I've continuously served in the Navy, Navy Reserve, or Coast Guard Auxiliary for 37 years.
After serving in the Navy, I lived in California before returning to Texas to get my BBA in accounting and earning my CPA license.
Since then I've continued my love of learning and adventure. I'm licensed as both a private pilot and a USCG Master Mariner. I have nine children and expect my growing list of grandchildren to be epic. Instead of a mid-life crisis, I returned to school and graduated from Texas A&M University School of Law. I accomplished these achievements while working in a variety of industries in increasing roles of responsibility, most recently (while in law school) as the Chief Financial Officer for two privately-held companies.
